London Casino Design

Casino1

Working in conjunction with Natalie Tredgett Design, Al worked as assistant designer on the design of an electronic gaming room for the Palace Gate Casino by Hyde Park.

This Arts and Crafts building was designed in the 1860s as a residence for Charles Dickens' friend and biographer, John Forster. Specialist paint finishes were applied to the ceiling and walls to create a vivid blue hue to the room. The corporate logo of leaping horses and whimsical flourishes create the experience of being immersed within a giant William de Morgan blue glazed ceramic.

Al designed wall to wall carpets and decorative schemes for further rooms in the building, including the show stopper library complete with stunning stained glass ceiling.
